How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

The old train station of Batu Gajah...

humble and convenient, well within walking distance from the main road with regular bus services, but reduced to being neglected except for a Malay restaurant and an Indian barber shop.

I have just started an online Petition which is at the top right-hand corner of my blogsite which I hope to attract some response from Batu Gajah residents and would be visitors to the town by train.

As I have mentioned earlier, I am new to this and it is on a 'trial and error' basis. A mistake which I have noticed was that for someone filling in the petition, the last two fields were without text, one 'optional' and the other 'required'. Just fill in 'none' for the last one because it related to 'political party' which is irrelevant to this exercise.

I would appreciate it very much if visitors to my blog would take the trouble to support my petition, while I try my best to contact more people to take part.

Many thanks for taking time to visit my blogsite.
