How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

Read all about it! Exclusively in the Sun tomorrow...

My letter to the Editor of The Sun concerning my Petition to KTMB will be published in tomorrow's edition on Page 24, as promised by Mr. Chong Cheng Hai.

I hope the publicity in the national newspaper would provide the necessary exposure which KTMB management cannot simply ignore.

I believe we have been robbed of our convenient train station and replaced with a white elephant at a totally inconvenient location. Of course, KTMB can ignore us, yet people will still use it if necessary. But the whole project did not consider the needs of the people at all. To put it in a nutshell, it was progress at the expense of convenience - made no sense at all.

I hope KTMB can provide us with reasons, if any, why our request cannot be acceded. The problem will still be there regardless of whether the vicinity of the railway complex is fully developed in the next few years.
