How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

Petition to KTMB...there's hope...

Just before 6pm I got a pleasant surprise when a Encik Fadzil called my mobile and said he was calling from KTM. I had to ask again, 'From where?' 'KTM'! he repeated.

Well, they have been looking into the possibility of having a scheduled stop at the old station as suggested in our petition. He had been to the old station which is now under a different company - Railway Assets Corporation, and they will study the situation to see if it is possible to have a stop for certain trains only. For example, it would be impractical to have one with the fast train.

To me, so long as there is a choice of a train which stops at the old station, it is then up to the people to decide whether to take those trains. Under the given situation, it is better than nothing.

My main contention is that the old station was convenient, but its convenience was taken away with building of the new station. It is only right that they do something to correct the situation.
