Recent dinners at ex-classmates' children's weddings had encouraged further meetings other than at special occasions. The next one is going to be in Genting Highlands where one of our friends has an apartment on the way up.
Last Sunday, we had a re-union at a wedding dinner in Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel, Selangor. It was really different because of its buffet style at different spots, sitting among hotel guests and other patrons! I still cannot get over the wide spread of nice foods which no one could possible try all! Healthwise, I think it was fortunately a once-off event for us old folks as most of us threw away all our guidelines to what we should be eating.
An ex-classmate in Australia forwarded me this most relevant joke (more like reality to me):
Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Landmark restaurant because the waitresses there have low cut blouses and nice breasts.
10 years later, at 50 years of age, the group meets again and once again they discuss and discuss where they should meet. Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Landmark because the food there is very good and the wine selection is good also.
10 years later at 60 years of age, the group meets again and once again they discuss and discuss where they should meet. Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Landmark because they can eat there in peace and quiet and the restaurant is smoke free.
10 years later, at 70 years of age, the group meets again and once again they discuss and discuss where they should meet. Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Landmark because the restaurant is wheel chair accessible and they even have an elevator.
10 years later, at 80 years of age, the group meets again and once again they discuss and discuss where they should meet. Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Landmark because that would be a great idea because they have never been there before.

To be honest, though originally from KL, having been away for 15 years, I took the easy way out by asking a friend to fetch me, saving all the problems of finding my way there. The place is huge and for first-timers, one can easily get lost!
I am also surprised how you got to know about this posting!
I will keep in mind Sunway when I get a chance to dine out in the Klang Valley again.
