How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

Jimmy Chua

... that's what he is going to be, at the rate he has been stripped off royal awards! Of course, he has awards from other states which entitled him to be called Datuk, if I am not mistaken.

I have listened to his talk at Perak Academy when he was still with MCA. Impressive speech and even at that time, I felt he shouldn't be in MCA! A sister-in-law actually said once that she would join MCA, if he becomes President... but that was before the final tussle for the Deputy post, which he lost to Dr. Chua.

So far, I have heard good reviews from people who have worked with him when he was Health Minister, even though he was not a doctor but a lawyer. The post of Health Minister is known for bringing down a politician, and he was one of those victims. It is a post which comes with sleepless nights whenever there are epidemics of one kind or other... certainly ages a person fast!

I am glad he is now with PKR where he is much needed to share his ministerial experience, if and when Pakatan can achieve their ambitions. As I have mentioned before, there is a difference between jumping from Pakatan to Barisan (for obvious benefits) and vice versa (for a struggle for the benefit of the nation).

jimmy chua is confused.he comes from mca and hardly knows anyone in pakatan.he has to be careful with his moves as might offend others who struggled a long time.
he might be sabotaged that way.

same time, dsai must give him some directions and not just to use him
as a mouth piece.

it is hope that he will be appointed as pimpinan tertinggi party what with his experience and
friends who he may be able to bring
with him many more votes.
