How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

Desensitizing the F word...

I know some of you would claim that this blog is degenerating into a smut site. But the F word, as explained in this example, is now quite universal to mean something other than its original. In the local sense, it is similar to a Cantonese who used 'niamah' at the beginning, at every pause, and at the end of a sentence!

We have heard dialogues in Western films using the F word but censored just like some kissing and more intimate scenes. Anyway, let visitors of my blog be the judge to see if this is really objectionable.

For the information of those not exposed to the two recorded versions (same text but one spoken by a Caucasian and the other by an Indian with a heavy accent), the following is presumed to be transcribed by someone from the audio recording:

I am emboldened by our national preoccupation with the sodomy trials. What the heck!
