How should we judge a government?

In Malaysia, if you don't watch television or read newspapers, you are uninformed; but if you do, you are misinformed!

"If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing." - Malcolm X

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience - Mark Twain

Why we should be against censorship in a court of law: Publicity is the very soul of justice … it keeps the judge himself, while trying, under trial. - Jeremy Bentham

"Our government is like a baby's alimentary canal, with a happy appetite at one end and no
responsibility at the other. " - Ronald Reagan

Sorry is still the hardest word to Tun Dr. Mahathir

In the eyes of Tun, Anwar was being too impatiently ambitious to become Prime Minister; and tried to discredit him with sodomy allegations; and now even slandered him in his book with claims of procuring women for sex. In the process of sacking, Anwar was assaulted by then IGP resulting in the infamous 'black eye', which Tun had the temerity of claiming Anwar could have done it himself to gain sympathy!

Why would a PM use such drastic methods to dismiss his Deputy? With his claims of his deputy's sexual indiscretions, he considered it his duty to spare Malaysia of having a sodomite as PM. Any reasonable person would be tempted to ask, who are you to decide on who should be PM? Isn't that supposed to be left to your party, Umno (by tradition), to decide who should succeed you?

Since the 'black eye' incident, there was never an apology for what happened, and to add salt to injury, a similar sodomy case was planned after 10 years, which most people would presume Tun had at least encouraged it.

Instead of an apology, Tun said he finds it hard to forgive Anwar! http://www.nst.com.my/nst/articles/DrM_It_shardtoforgiveAnwar/Article/

I cannot help but consider him the most vengeful person in Malaysia. Other people in old age would have felt remorseful and at least mellowed to follow the advice: 'Sometimes, it is better to be kind than right.'

The fact is tdm had a propensity to kill his
successor before they can succeed him.

The list
--------
He culled his would be successors -

>musa hitam

?gaffar baba

>anwar ibrahim

He let the 'matmatalayu -dolah ahmad badawi ' through thinking
the sleepy eyed dopey guy would let him run the country like a
puppetteer. Alas he did not count on the greedy and sly
si-'antu'-l keri jamaluddin to thwart his plans.

so he had to sabo the friendly 'matmatalayu-dolah' too.

Final analysis
---------------

Tdm probably suffer from some mental disorder-

an inferiority complex that make him frighten of

people who wold outshine/outdo / outclass him in anyway.

This has never been mentioned but I guess lky has said

something about this previously.

Tdm requires psychiatric help. Tdm being a Dr himself must not

hesitate to look for psychiatric help asap.
